Caboolture Central Early Education Centre & Preschool, 5428 3831 Caboolture 4510

Welcome to Caboolture Central Early Education Centre & Pre-School, the place where we achieve great things with little people.

Our centre is open from 6.15am to 6.15pm and we cater to our families 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, only closing for public holidays.

Caboolture Central Early Education Centre is located in the heart of the Caboolture Central Business District. Our locality makes us very convenient to families who work in the area, as well as those parents seeking socialization for their children. As a new innovative centre, we offer larger than normal rooms, as well a Schoolies Room. Our outside playground is nestled behind a six foot wooden fence. This area is cool and shaded even on the hottest of days. Upon enrolment families receive their own pin number which unlocks our front door during business hours; all other visitors must ring the door bell to be let in by a staff member.

Our professional and caring staff are all qualified and dedicated to the children in their care. Fun is the name of the game here, staff utilize exciting experiences to ensure all the children who attend receive the very best early childhood education. Within our five age groups, children receive a developmentally appropriate program.

Possums - 0 to 2 years/Babies: Staff in this room concentrate on making sure that the babies are secure, safe and receive plenty of one on one interaction. Programs include plenty of sensory stimulation and reassuring routines.

Treefrogs - 15mths to 21/2 years/Toddlers: At this age children are very physical, they are starting to speak well and are learning how to make friends for the first time. Programs in this room offer lots of gross motor play, activities where children play closely together and lots of singing and stories to promote language.
Babies and Toddlers have their own shady, artificially turfed playground where they play away from the older children. Play equipment in this area is sized down for safe play.

Wombats - 2 to 3 years/Junior Kindergarten: The program in the Junior Kindergarten room encourages longer attention spans in the children and the ability to follow direction. The program also encourages children to really start developing their social and emotional skills. Toilet training is a big focus; most families are keen to have their children toileting independently by the end of this year.

Wallabies - 3 to 4 years/ Senior Kindergarten: A prelude to Preschool. Children in this room are encouraged to develop their self help skills. The program is more complex, offering a range of activities to develop children·s thinking, language, motor and social/emotional development. By the end of the year children are well and truly ready for Preschool.

School Readiness Room - 4 to 5 years: The School Readiness Program is run in accordance with the Queensland Preschool Curriculum Guidelines and Prep Guidelines, foundation learning areas that are developed are thinking, communicating, sense of self and others, social living and learning, health and physical understanding, cultural understanding and understanding environments. By the end of the year children are ready for the formal schooling system.

Schoolies/School age: We offer before & after school care and vacation care for Caboolture State School and St Peters· School children. The program offers a selection of entertaining activities for our older children in their own room. During vacation care times we also go on excursions to many different places of interest such as the Maleny rainforest walk and Australia Zoo.

Through all rooms we run a Perceptual Motor Program which, studies have shown, enhance children·s thinking skills later on in life. Our "Building Blocks to Literacy" programme which is also run in all rooms is an exciting holistic approach to ensuring that, every child in our care has all the base knowledge necessary to begin to learn to read and write. Staff ensure that children are learning all the things they need to know in order to be the best person they can and achieve success at school.
